I have a black lab mix (wearing pink XL) and a husky mix blue heeler puppy (blue L)... The strap that goes under the belly is wayyyy to long for both dogs. I think the puppy will fit into it later when she gets big but I honestly love the rain coats. (The large fits my black lab mix perfectly).

My dog is very hard to fit for coats but this coat is great. He’s 100 lbs, on the longer side and has a barrel chest. I had a hard time finding a coat that wasn’t too short bodied for him. I bought him the XXL because of his chest measurements. It is a little long for him but I prefer it that way. It’s not a coat for warmth, just for precipitation. Very easy to put on. It doesn’t get in the way when they do their business. I definitely recommend this coat for bigger dogs.

Works perfectly! I ordered a large for my pit mix.. he’s 87 lbs and there’s a little wriggle room. He has his harness on underneath and we pull the loop for the leash through the hole in the back of the coat and have no problems with it on our walks. There are little straps that go on the legs in the back to keep his tail from moving the coat. Great design and quality. Keeps him dry.

We love Doggie Raincoats for our Sherpadoodle Sherlocke. He's a stinky boy when he gets wet and a good fitting raincoat really makes a difference. We ordered the XXL for Sherlock who's about 90 pounds on a good day. He doesn't have a tail to worry about so I just measured his back and ordered by the chart. It's a good thing he doesn't have one or this would've been too small. I kinda thought they would take a tail into consideration when making the size chart and telling people to just order by the back size but you can see in the photos it just fits. If your large dog has a long tail and he's in between sizes you may want to order up a size.

My dog Truffles has trouble with rain rot and this coat has been great for her! It is very sturdy material and she, surprisingly, loves the hood. We did have a problem with the stitching coming out at the opening for the leash but some reflective duct tape added some flair and fixed the problem! And actually in this dark rainy weather it s a plus. It has been very nice to have a rainy season without trips to the vet for skin problems!
